Caitlin Brooks (Mencap)

Caitlin is the Young Person Programme Manager at Royal Mencap Society – the leading voice of learning disability. She is responsible for national projects that bring young people with and without learning disabilities to come together to engage in shared inclusive activities.

The projects Caitlin oversees fall under two of Mencap’s top priority areas which are most relevant to bullying: Stigma and Friendships & Relationships.

Mencap's 'Living in Fear' report found that almost 9 in 10 people with a learning disability surveyed had experienced bullying or harassment in the past year. Mencap’s vision is a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.
